They Started with Nothing and Built Everything—This Home Will Blow Your Mind!



Erik and Jaime Perkins, seasoned construction veterans, embarked on building their dream getaway home from scratch. Starting with meticulous foundation work, they used innovative techniques and materials, like 2x4s with T25 deck screws instead of traditional batter boards. They carefully mixed and poured concrete, laid blocks, and constructed slabs with precision.

The duo framed walls with expertise, even tackling a challenging 13foot wall with large windows. Their attention to detail extended to plumbing, roofing, and structural reinforcements, ensuring the house was both beautiful and durable. They installed custom flooring, underfloor heating, and black metal roof panels, giving the house a sleek finish.

The exterior featured a stone façade, and they tackled every detail, from installing windows to securing posts with anchor bolts. They wrapped up by painting, installing custom furniture, and completing exterior touches. The result was a stunning, castlelike modern getaway home, showcasing Erik and Jaime's construction mastery from foundation to finish.
