The Electro Voice (EV) RE20 is widely considered to be the archenemy of the Shure SM7B, but in my opinion offers lots of advantages when compared to the Shure! The RE20 is also noted for having a very "condenser" like sound for a dynamic microphone, so lets compare it to a Rode NT1 in our voiceover test :) I hope this microphone review helps you decide if the EV RE20 is suited for your podcast set up, voiceover set up, or any number of other things it great at.
