Hurricane Milton made landfall on Siesta Key in Florida on October 9th, 2024 as a Category 3 storm with 120 mph winds. Just two weeks prior to Hurricane Milton, Siesta Key was flooded by several feet of storm surge from Hurricane Helene. The island was completely shut down for periods of time after both storms. The beaches finally re opened to the public on October 26, 2024. In this episode we visit several businesses that have reopened and check out the condition of the beaches.
