This year, August 2023, we witnessed an unusual animal action at Masai Mara. Few Zebra crossed the Mara River, and they were signalling their herd members to do the same. The rest of the herd made two or three attempts to cross the river, but they all returned because of Crocs. The Zebra that crossed the Mara reentered the river, drank some water, and one Zebra reached up to the middle of the Mara river, demonstrating that it is safe, and called to the rest of the herd members, urging them to cross the river since it is safe. After a while, Wilder Beest arrived and began crossing the river. Zebra joined them as well. Following the herd's crossing of the river, three Zebra returned, reentered the river, and crossed back to rejoin the uncrossed herd.
