The older sibling is now three times the size of the younger sibling.
Milda tries to feed the smaller one, but the older one won't allow it. It's normal behavior. Only here in this case more extreme than usual. There is even stronger rivalry, which leads to the death of the sibling.
In the end Milda was able to feed the little one.
Like almost all people with empathy, I have deep sympathy for the little one. My head knows that the older sibling only does what is important to her/his own survival. I think Voldis's inexperience contributes to the fact that this time it's extremely bad at nest. Next year he will probably know that all who are in the nest should be fed.
