CHANG'E ATTACK SPEED: IS IT EFFECTIVE?

In this video, I'm going to talk about the recent changes to Chang'e and whether or not she can be played as a marksman in the next update.

Chang'e has received a number of buffs on the advance server, including faster projectiles, cooldown reduction, and movement boost from her ultimate. However, the most notable change is the conversion of her enhanced basic attack to basic attack damage. This means that attack effects can now be applied to all three hits of her enhanced basic attack.

This sounds great on paper, but is it really effective in a real match? I tried out this build on several games and found out that there are three big problems with it:

Her shield. Attack speed builds rely on Chang'e's shield being available all the time. If the enemy can remove her shield, the effectiveness of her basic attacks goes down significantly. This is because without her shield, she can only deal one basic attack damage, which also means that only one instance of attack effects is applied.
Her range. Chang'e's basic attack range is much shorter than her 1st skill and ultimate range. This means that she has to get closer to the enemy to deal damage, which makes her more vulnerable to attack.
The shield scaling. To increase Chang'e's shield, you need magic power. However, if you build attack speed items, you will lose two item slots that could be used for magic power items. This means that your shield will be weaker, making it easier for the enemy to remove it.
Overall, I think marksman Chang'e will not be very effective in the next update. She can be more effective with her tried and tested magic build, which allows her to deal damage from a distance. Maybe you can add Feather of Heaven to your build, but using other attack speed items is not really recommended.

I think the change on Chang'e's enhanced basic attack is to make sure everyone is in line with the new lifesteal mechanics where lifesteal is for basic attacks and spell vamp is for skill damage. If they don't make this change, then Chang'e can benefit from both.

So for now, I think Machine Gun Chang'e will remain a dream. But what do you think? Is Chang'e worth building with attackspeed items? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
