The story of Twitter is a tangled web of lies and betrayals. But, it all begins in 2005, with a little startup called Odeo. Odeo aimed to become the home of podcasting on the internet a place where users could record and share their audio files. However, Odeo would soon pivot to Twitter, a platform for users to share their statuses online.
