Front, mid and rearengine cars, the names are selfexplanatory; they describe the location of the engine in a car.
1) A Front engine vehicle has an engine at the front of the car.
2) In a midengine car, the placement shifts to the rear of the driver.
3) Similarly, in a rearengine car, the engine moves further away from the front, that is, behind the rear passenger seats.
The engine placement is not just about finding the right location to mount the engine. There’s much more significance to the location of the engine in a car. Whether it’s a front, mid, or rear, each configuration affects the key aspects of a car.
