Our Question of the Week this week is one that we have received a number of times which is, what is the best year STI 6speed to use for a swap?
If you have looked at the kits on our website, you will notice that we use the 2007 STI 6speed, and there are a few reasons for that. The main one being that it is the most versatile because it is easy to install into a WRX all the way back to 2002, and all the way up to 2014.
It is also the least expensive new 6speed, and it has some of the best features as well.
But what this question really boils down to is whether it is cheaper to find a used transmission compared to purchasing a new one?
And what about some of the early STI transmissions that don't have the DCCD center differential?
Or the SpecB transmission for that matter?
That is what we address in this Question of the Week.
Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!
