What does a California accent sound like?
I'm a British polyglot and phonetician living in Southern California. Here, I went out looking for people at the beach willing to reveal their accents to me. I was quite nervous to ask at first but met some lovely people. I tested out the California Vowel Shift and looked at other features of California English.
