As Hurricane IAN barreled its way across the ocean towards Florida, we made our way across the country to Florida to put ourselves inside of Hurricane IAN as it made landfall in Florida! We usually Chase Tornadoes but today we Chase this Hurricane! Hurricane IAN made landfall as a CAT 4 hurricane with sustained winds of 155mph making it one of the most powerful Hurricanes to ever hit Southwest Florida. This hurricane is now the costliest Hurricane in almost 90 years. Mother nature is nothing to mess with. So if you ever find yourself in the path of a Hurricane, Tornado or any other force of nature, find safety and do not get out in it unless accompanied by a professional.
During this Hurricane Chase, we ended up seeing a Tornado form right beside us while in the street. So during this Hurricane chase, we not only took you to the Hurricane but we also took you to the Tornado!
