Wistman's Wood is what's leftover from an ancient forest that covered a lot of Dartmoor in 7000 BCE, before Mesolithic hunters/gatherers cleared it around 5000 BCE. Today, Wistman's Wood is a fairy tale playground filled with witch like branches and stones covered in otherworldly moss that is said to be haunted.
