US President Joe Biden visited on October 3 the stormravaged area of Florida hard hit by Hurricane Helene last week. Biden began his visit in the capital of Tallahassee, made. a helicopter survey of damage near Perry, and received a briefing and met with storm survivors in Keaton Beach. Biden's visit comes on the heels of his trip on Wednesday (October 2) to North Carolina and South Carolina. Before leaving Washington, Biden directed up to 1,000 activeduty troops to help with response and recovery efforts.
