Two of my favourite funeral poems
The first poem "Should I go" by Joyce Grenfell is one I often read at the very end of the ceremony so things end on a positive note. The second poem "Do not ask me to remember" by Owen Darnell who lost his wife to dementia I read only rarely but it seems absolutely appropriate for ceremonies where the family's lives have been touched by Alzheimers or dementia.
