Hello, this video is part 2 of the Maxtrax install. Today I go over the process of using galvanized gate hinges with a little fab work to mount the Maxtrax on the Prinsu Cab rack. I used the two left over Maxtrax pins, from the part one install video, two galvanized gate/fence hinges, four stainless steel 1/4 inch carriage bolts, four washers, and four locking nuts. I used the hinges as I wanted to be able to fold down the pins when they are not securing recovery boards to the rack. I only used two as I do not plan to have them mounted full time on the Prinsu. With time we will see how they hold up and if they make too much noise. I may also stagger the pins on opposite corners in order to achevie even pressure on the Maxtrax. All hardware came from local shops, I try to use the smaller shops in the area. The galvanized hinges are a bit pricey somewhere in the $8 to $12 dollar range, but will hold up to the elements better than non galvanized.
