Tornadoes aren't just found in movies like Twister (and Twisters) and the Wizard of Oz. They're a real natural phenomenon with enormous power. In this video we'll learn what causes tornadoes, and what situations make them more likely to occur. This has to do with geography (places like "Tornado Alley" are more likely to have tornadoes) but also just the right weather conditions.

Not all tornadoes are the same, and we'll learn about supercell and nonsupercell tornadoes. Then there's a variety of intensities—meteorologists (weather scientists) use the Fujita scale so we all know just how big of a tornado we're talking about.
