This tuxedo cat has been coming to my back door for a couple weeks now. I have a soft spot for animals in need, so of course I feed and pet him. He is very sweet, as you can see. He has scabs on the back of his neck, and on his ears. He's declawed on the front paws, he's neutered, and has an obvious old injury to his back left leg. The vet said he got it as a kitten, because that leg is actually shorter. I don't know if he's someone's cat or if he's abandoned. I gave him a name, Bootsie, since he comes back every day.

All my cats get irritated when I pet another cat, but Tigger is especially crazy. He is very territorial and protective of his mama (me).

Update (5/3/12)
I thought I had posted an update but I guess I forgot :) I took care of Bootsie for about 9 months, got him vet checked right away (no diseases or microchip), eventually got him shots and put a collar with tags on him. Not long after that, about August 2009, he just disappeared. I placed "lost" posters wherever I could, checked websites, checked the shelter and humane society. I still to this day don't know what happened to him. I'm hoping that someone actually did own him and just freaked out at seeing a collar on him and stopped letting him outside.
