I REALLY thought this was going to be EASY... I was WRONG!!
This is a 1967 John Deere 2020 gasoline tractor with a number 47 front loader. It has been owned by a good friend of mine for over 30 years, and it's one of the reasons I met him in the first place! My friend AL passed away this year, and his wife reached out and asked for help finding a new home for his beloved tractor!
As soon as she asked, I immediately knew who I was going to ask, and lo and behold, he was interested! We checked out the tractor, and he decided to give the old Deere a new HOME!
That's when I said "I'd be happy to help figure out and fix a few of the small leaks and issues it has for you."
Little did I know that this old John Deere had a MAJOR issue that was pretty well disguised! This one was a battle, and it took a lot of thinking, researching, and asking old timers to finally figure out WHAT to do to fix it's issues!
Throughout the process I repaired and upgraded quite a few other things, as well as gave this old beast a full tune up with new filters and oils, so HOPEFULLY when we're done, it with be ready for YEARS of service at it's new home!
Join me for the ups and downs of wrenching on old machines and I'll show you what it takes to TRULY persevere through problems that you don't fully understand or know how to fix, but you're determined to OVERCOME!
Sometimes you just have to get STARTED and KEEP trying!
This one should be fun, thanks for joining me on the adventure, I truly appreciate it!
