Welcome to the Mountains of the Carpathians!
The Tough Life of Farmers: Hay Harvesting in the Inaccessible Carpathian Mountains
In the remote and rugged terrain of the Carpathian Mountains, three hardworking men—Cornel, Cosmin, and Vasile—come together for a timeless tradition: gathering hay by hand. The land is tough to reach, accessible only by oxen. Yet, despite the challenges, they press on, deeply connected to their work and the land.
At Mr. Cosmin's place, Cornel, Cosmin (wearing his signature hat), and Vasile (perched atop the hay stack) work tirelessly to move the hay from small stacks to a larger one, a sight that captures both the beauty and the hardship of life in these remote mountains.
Their story is one of perseverance and community spirit, showcasing the deeprooted traditions that survive in the Carpathian region.
