The first time I saw that cat, it was happily licking an empty plate. I guessed that it was a plate filled with food by a kind person, but the food was all eaten, and the cat was still hungry, lingering on the empty plate.
It was skinny and small, looking particularly pitiful. As a cat owner, I couldn't stand to see a cat suffer. I thought about adopting it, but it was too afraid of people. I tried several times, but each attempt ended in failure.
I fed this cat for several months, and it remained wary of me. Gradually, I felt something was wrong. Its belly seemed to be getting bigger. At first, I thought it was gaining weight, but later I realized the little one was probably pregnant.
