The Selkirk Rex is known as the “cat in sheep’s clothing” because of its curly coat. Even their whiskers are curly! The Selkirk Rex cat can come in any color and can have long hair or short hair. They are one of only four breeds of cat who have a curly coat. The curly coat is a natural mutation that was discovered and developed in 1987. The Selkirk Rex is an easygoing, loving, and patient cat. It’s a good thing they’re patient because everyone wants to hug them!
