Going into the season who did you think the best team in MLB was? Did you say the Dodgers due to acquiring Shohei Ohtani? How about the new look Orioles after winning 100 games and getting a former Cy Young Winne For Baseball. Maybe the Atlanta Braves with the unanimous MVP after being the best team in MLB last season. If you said any of these teams, you’d be wrong throughout the first 2 months of the season since the clear best team has been the Philadelphia Phillies. Going into opening day the Fightin’ Phils were ranked the 4th best team, behind the 3 that I mentioned above, however they have been surprising everyone with just how good they really are. Through the teams first 48 games, the Phillies have gone 3414, scoring the second most runs in baseball, with the 4th best ERA. They’ve basically built a monster force that is considered a baseball team, that might just be unstoppable, but what makes the Phillies so much better than everyone else.
