Today I’m taking a look at a somewhat rare and misunderstood chip Intel’s i487 SX. The i487 was marketed as a “math coprocessor” to pair up with the 486 SX back in 1991. But as you’ll soon see, the i487 is not what it appears, and Intel’s somewhat disingenuous marketing led to a lot of confusion surrounding this chip. Join me today as I dig in give the i487 a try!
