On February 16, 1965, Malcolm X, whose real name was Malcolm Little, was shot 16 times at the age of 39. Campaigner for an independent black state, he restored dignity to black Americans in a segregationist America.
Nearly half a century after his death, the question remains: who killed Malcolm X? The shooters were members of the “Nation of Islam”, of which he was an influential member, but the sponsors remain unknown.
This murder suited certain leaders of the time. Malcolm X became close to Martin Luther King and African leaders who criticized American policies.
Was there a state plan to eliminate certain black leaders?
