On Friday 22 January, we held a very special mihi whakatau where we welcomed and acknowledged the precious Tuatara in our care into their new home, Te Hononga, an offvisitor view habitat dedicated to Tuatara.

We were joined by Iwi representatives from Ngāti Koata Trust, who are kaitiaki of Tuatara, and Neavin Broughton from Taranaki Whānui ki Te Upoko o Te Ika as mana whenua.
