It was an action packed evening at the nest with the return of the sub adult intruder. F23 was at the pond & M15 on the nest when the intruder was seen flying over the nest tree. F23 immediately flies to the the porch with alert vocals & M15 is alerting on the nest. The intruder flies around a couple of times before landing on the treetop.

Both F23 & M15 are not happy with this intruder in their nest tree! M15 does not leave the eggs F23 on the other hand will not tolerate another eagle so close. Look at the size of this intruder! Seems to be a female comparing to F23 in the same frame. F23 flies to the attic and then she flushes the intruder out! She will return to the attic and then drop to the nest and go under M15 & nudge him off the eggs!! Bless his heart ♥ F23 did her job defending their nest and she was ready to incubate.

M15 goes to the attic with vocals and keeps watch. The intruder will return 16 minutes later and flies back to the treetop branches. M15 is agitated & vocalizing loudly and F23 is vocal on the nest. The intruder is up on the branch for a couple of minutes, takes a misstep and flies off, circles around and comes back! Very persistent young eagle!! M15 then flies up and flushes the intruder out! Bye bye!! He returns to the attic after the threat is gone. F23 remained incubating the eggs no switcheroo game going on! M15 is on the attic keeping watch. Great job M15 & F23 tag teaming the intruder and sending them packing!

As I stated in my previous videos with the sub adult & juvenile eagle visits, there is no way to determine if this is a past offspring. It is a possibility but is unlikely due to the large number of eagles nesting/breeding & residing in the state of FL. We have 1500+ breeding pairs in FL that means 2000 (+/) fledglings so while it is possible it is an offspring, it is not probable. Thank you for watching!
