This is a first for F23 that we have seen live on cam!

F23 is on the nest and she goes to the veranda and attic to join M15. Both eagles are vocalizing then stop. F23 turns and with an open beak looks to make mating vocals but then stops turns around and hops to the bent arch and then right back while M15 is wondering what she is doing. M15 will fly over to her further on the attic and as soon as he did that F23 shows her dominance to M15 with mating vocals, wing flapping and possibly footing him wanting to mate!

This brings back memories of our dear Harriet and how she would act towards M15 giving him her foot when she was hormonal and wanting him to mate with her! Shades of Harriet now are seen now with F23!! ♥ When M15 did not respond she flew to the outer branch. I think we will see more dominant behavior from F23 in the upcoming weeks as she gets closer to egg laying! Thank you for watching!
