E23 made an early flight from the attic to the front snag, to the west pasture and back to the front snag. E23 eyed a "forgotten" pelt on the ground and flew there. E23 ate from it, carried it and then explored the driveway and west pasture before flying to the DSPS (drive side pond snag). E23 watched the area and flew across the road when He saw F23 flying in the distance. E23 then followed Momma back to the nest hoping for food but she brought nothing edible. Later E23 flew across the road out of sight. E23 returned to the nest tree later watching again for F23 and/or M15. M15 did not disappoint, delivering a rabbit to the ground by the pond. E23 flew there and claimed it. E23 then flew with the rabbit to the church tree where both adults joined E23. I guess E23 did not want to share and took the rabbit to the nest tree, then nest to eat. What a great day watching 88 day old E23 grow stronger and smarter in survival skills.
