Video opens with the male owl arriving with a food gift/rodent for the female. It appears the male has already eaten a portion of the rodent. The male hoots to call the female in so he can present his food gift. I did not hear the female, and she did not come to receive her food gift. The male set the prey down a few times, usually keeping his foot on it. The visit by the male is shown in it's entirety. The male leaves with the prey, likely to go find the female so he can present the food gift.

Sixteen minutes after the male left, F23 arrives, bringing herself. M15 arrives with nest material. They both work in the nest. F23 moves to the veranda, and M15 conducts a Nest Test. F23 moves to the attic, and M15 quickly follows. F23 goes to the inner branch, and M15 follows for a morning mating. Time stamps below, if interested. About the owl behavior: The male brings food gifts to show the female he is a good hunter and provider (like eagles). Male owls will bring food to nesting sites they have found in the territory, and the female will choose the nest site.

12:43. F23 brings herself, Cam2.

16:38. F23 to the attic, M15 immediately follows her.
17:00. Mating; good view of tail positions and cloacal kiss (pressing their cloacas together to allow the transfer of sperm from his cloaca to hers; the cloaca is used for excretion, reproduction, and egg laying).
