The Shrewsbury Flower Show is an annual event held in midAugust over two days at The Quarry, the main park in the town of Shrewsbury, the county town of Shropshire, England. The show is organised by the Shropshire Horticultural Society and is one of the country's premier flower show events, attracting top exhibitors from all over the country. It was featured in the 2005 Guinness Book of Records as the "longestrunning flower show" in the world. The show features a large number of marquees over which scores of exotic and common floral arrangements are displayed. In addition to the floral displays, there are also bands, show jumping, food, and other attractions. Visitors can explore marquees fit to burst with floral creations, fruits and vegetables, competitive classes, competitions information displays, lectures, and demonstrations. The show also features TV personalities, celebrity chefs, live music, and spectacular fireworks displays. In 2023, the show was evacuated after police received a "serious" security threat from an anonymous caller.
