Liberal Senator Alex Antic has described the Albanese government’s misinformation bill as a “shocking piece of legislation”.

“I thought in my time in parliament I’d seen the worst that could be possibly shovelled up with the guillotined and nondebated digital ID bill,” Mr Antic said.

“But this socalled combatting misinformation and disinformation bill in itself I think is even worse.”
