In Curse of Strahd for Dungeons & Dragons, Madam Eva is a staple. She is one of the ways adventurers can be lured into the demiplane of Barovia. She is also responsible for conducting the Tarokka card reading, which points adventurers toward the items of power that they use to fight Strahd von Zarovich. This modification reimagines her as something far more sinister, and also reworks the heart of sorrow to tie in with the march of the dead.
