She was just a mama dog, desperate to find food for her hungry puppies, hoping to fill their tiny bellies. She wandered out, her body weak from giving everything to her little ones, driven by instinct to protect them. But in her search for a bit of food, she met a cruel fate, someone shot her.
The dog, barely clinging to life, crawled along the roadside, her eyes searching for something she could no longer bear to lose. She was dragging her body through the dirt, weak and broken, all for the sake of her newborn puppies.
The injuries were severe, and yet the thing that pained her the most wasn’t the bullet wound in her back that had shattered her ability to walk, it was the hunger gnawing at her stomach, knowing that her puppies needed her, and she had nothing left to give them.
