ComicCon is expected to bring 130,000 people this year to the downtown area.

All it takes to get inside ComicCon is a badge, verified by scanners at the entrances to the San Diego Convention Center. Attendees do not have to pass through metal detectors or have their backpack searched to get inside ComicCon.

Some ComicCon goers didn't seem to mind. “I have to say, every time I've been here, I felt very safe,” one man told CBS 8.
