A total of 132 flights traveling to and from Taoyuan International Airport were canceled on Wednesday due to the typhoon. But a few came through. One passenger reported that the flight back to Taiwan was quite scary, with sudden drops and severe turbulence.

The traveler captured footage of the flight’s increasing shaking on its descent. A separate video shows an aborted landing, due to strong winds that threw the fuselage out of alignment. The pilot used the "crab landing approach," suited for crosswinds, a technique that is very difficult to pull off. Ultimately, the pilot was successful, and the plane touched down safely in Taoyuan.
