How to Winterize a Travel Trailer Are you winterizing your RV properly? Did you know there are winterizing steps that are often missed in many owner’s manuals? Do you know how to properly winterize everything that is not related to the plumbing system? Today we’ll show you on our Grand Design Imagine travel trailer how to use compressed air to blow out water in the plumbing lines in your RV.

❄Winterizing Steps (Standard Panel Plumbing)
1) Connect shore power & open slides.
2) Release pressure at water heater, then drain water heater. Close pressure release valve.
3) Drain low point drains
4) Drain fresh water tank (leave water tank valve open).
5) Bypass water heater.
6) Blow out fresh tank fill line.
7) Blow out fresh tank gravity fill.
8) Blow out black tank flush port.
9) Check your aftermarket/specialty equipment/
10) Switch valve to winterizing hose on water pump.
11) Open 1 faucet, turn on water pump, run compressed air through water pump.
12) Turn off water pump.
13) Run compressed air from city water connection through every faucet individually, including low point drains.
14) Put antifreeze in P traps and cover toilet ball valve seal.
15) Drain waste tanks, close waste tanks & fresh water tank valves.
