Back in August, my girlfriend Paitra and I set out on a road trip from Toronto to Minnesota for her cousin’s wedding. Rather than doing the drive in one shot we decided to take as much time as possible to camp and explore every beautiful stop along the way. Rarely did we pass up a scenic lookout, waterfall, gift shop or small town diner. We even met and made a few friends along the way.

After the wedding we parted ways and I headed north back into Ontario up to the town of Red Lake where I met with Albert from Goldseeker’s Canoe Outfitting & Wilderness Expeditions. I had a pleasure chatting with him for an afternoon planning what ended up being by far my most epic adventure to date: 12 days alone in Woodland Caribou Provincial Park.
