So one of Raven‘s subscribers, lovely lovely people you have asked me to share a video of where Raven lives and the streets around us so I thought I’d take you on my morning feeding round with all the cats and the dogs of the streets of where I live and show you how many cats there are that we feed and why we need to always keep checking them some may need some fat treatments. Some may need neutering and we continue to do this all the way throughout the Year.
Sadly, whenever I go out, I encounter a new cat, another one appears, or a new dog shows up, and I just don’t know where they’re coming from. Many people abandon their animals, but unfortunately, so many of them are unneutered, which leads to continuous breeding, and little kittens keep appearing from everywhere.
I so wish I could take in more but I now have eight and that is the most I’ve ever had in 12 years. I used to take lots of cats in who were sick or injured but sadly over the years, we have taken in so many that never left we have no more room sometimes we can take the odd one or two and keep them for a short period for recovery but there are no more adoptions. Raven was the last cat that we decided to take.
as you know this is extremely hard because when we find a sick or injured animal, we have to use the Vets as a clinic to stay for that cap for however long.
I try my best to get around as quick as I can to feed and to check everybody’s health but it’s not easy. I’m on my own and I do it all alone. We do have charities in the area but they are also struggling with raising funds and finding volunteer support so I have to concentrate on the area that I live in because there is no one else that seems to be doing anything here and that’s the truth.
I want to thank everybody so far who has sent some donations to support Raven’s rescues Raven herself as well. I really appreciate your help and support as you know and as you can see it is neverending and always your support is truly needed.
I know for sure with your support that I can do a lot lot more which means I can help a lot more animals and I can support my own animals who need me too. I have to take one of my own cats in for another teeth operation this week she had one two months ago and sadly it’s all infected again, which is stopping her from eating as much as usual, and Betty who had FIP has her spaying booked in for 14th December, and one street dog too.
It’s always one thing after another it’s never a clear week or a smooth running week where we have nothing going on.
But I hope you enjoyed this video today, it’s sad at the same time, but at least they are being fed. And I can check on them health wise everyday.
