It's December 1st and that means it is time to start our fourth annual 12 Makes of Christmas series!
Over the next 12 days we'll bring you a combination of brand new tutorials and replays of some of our favorites that teach you how to make fun, fast, giftable quilty projects for the holiday season.
We're starting off with a QuiltAsYouGo Tree Skirt that you can make with fat quarters and easily finish in a day!
The preprinted batting and template from June Tailor is the key to getting this project done so quickly. Just cut out your wedges, line them up with the printed lines on the batting, and when you're done piecing, you're also done quilting!
I made an entire tree skirt including creating the bias binding in three hours while filming the video. So plan on an afternoon to sew it together, and an evening with your latest Netflix binge to stitch the binding down.
We've put together five kits from our favorite fabric lines to choose from, but you can also grab the batting alone and work with your stash!
