‘Prince Harry’s talking NONSENSE!’ Royal expert reacts to new Diana claims | Palace Confidential
Prince Harry’s suggestions to an event in New York that he’s doing his mother’s work in taking on the media is ‘nonsense’. That’s according to Richard Kay, the journalist who perhaps knew the late Princess Diana best.
The Daily Mail’s Editor at Large says that while the late Princess of Wales demanded apologies from newspapers and took legal action against paparazzi, her ‘modus operandi’ was to work with the media.
‘This idea that she didn’t have relationships with the media who were writing about her is pure and utter nonsense and Harry knows that,’ he tells Palace Confidential. ‘So to suggest that he is doing his mother’s work in taking on the media here is not true.’
Kay also suggests that there is a ‘tussle’ between Prince Harry and Prince William over their mother’s legacy.
The Daily Mail’s Royal Editor Rebecca English says Prince William is ‘frustrated’ and ‘offended’ to be caught in this position.
Richard Eden meanwhile says Prince Harry’s ‘messianic’ zeal to change the media, which came through when he went ‘unchallenged’ at the New York media event, means that he is becoming like the sort of ‘bore’ you avoid at parties.
Plus we have all the latest news from Catherine, Princess of Wales, Prince William and the King.
