The Tactical Operations Command (COT) is the main elite tactical unit of the Brazilian Federal Police Department.

The CAOP Operational Aviation Command, is the air unit of the Federal Police of Brazil, responsible for promoting air support to the activities of the Federal Police, Ministry of Justice, and other public security agencies of the Federal Government and States of the Federation. It reports to the Executive Directorate (DIREX) of the Federal Police.

The Grupo de Pronta Intervenção (GPI) is a specialized unit of the Federal Police of Brazil, present in most states of the Federation, with the objective of acting in emergency and mediumrisk situations at the local level, arrests of individuals considered dangerous, actions in slums, control of disturbances in demonstrations, seizure and occupation of buildings and others that demand an immediate response.
