What is pedantic language and why is it common for autisric people to use it?
Pedantic language is grammatically correct language that uses traditionally seen sophisticated vocabulary words. It’s language that follows strict grammatical rules with little flexibility, and the DSM5 notes it as a characteristic of autism. It Implies that that person is showing off, and not being authentic. What do you think of this? Is this something you experience?
