Peanut the Squirrel's owner, Mark Longo, shares a tearful message on Instagram, after his pet squirrel and raccoon were euthanized by authorities. The internetfamous wildlife animals were confiscated by Department of Environmental Conservation officials, who showed up to Longo's New York home with a search warrant last week. The DEC said Peanut bit one of the investigators, forcing them to euthanize the squirrel and raccoon so they could be tested for rabies.
