Finally after waiting with so much anticipation, we are going to harvest our first homegrown pineapple. It was almost 3 years ago when I bought a pineapple that was the sweetest I’d ever eaten. On a whim, I decided to plant the pineapple crown in my late sister Diane’s garden with the hope of harvesting a fruit that was as good as the original one. This is the day we will find out and Our Furry Tribe Emma, Shirley, and Ficus are here to help me.

Shirley and Emma were the beloved dogs of my late sister Diane. When she passed on September 5, 2021 due to Covid, i took over in taking care of them. Emma, a Shih Tzu, was born in June 2015. Shirley, a mixed Shih Tzu was born in December 2019. Emma is the mother of Shirley.

Both dogs have been spayed and are fully vaccinated. They are also regularly dewormed and yearly they get vaccine booster, antirabies, and antiheart worm shots.

Ficus was about 3 months old when we rescued him on January 03, 2021. Months later we found out that he was a Japanese bobtail. This breed is known for its very pleasant playful nature, is affectionate and highly intelligent. Ficus grew up with the doggies and they are close but he also adapts well as a solo cat and knows how to play by himself. He’s quite a fun cat to have. He has been neutered and like his doggie sisters, Ficus gets his yearly shots and dewormers. He is turning 4 in September 2024.
