On June 10, 1944, around 2 p.m., a Waffen SS company belonging to the second SS armored division “Das Reich” invested a village in HauteVienne, near Limoges: OradoursurGlane. A few hours later, the village was systematically destroyed, pillaged, burned, and a good part of the population massacred: an official report shows 642 victims, dead in atrocious conditions... A massacre of such magnitude that it made Oradour a universally known symbol of Nazi barbarism. This documentary shows, in particular thanks to previously unpublished archival documents from French and German judicial sources, that the Oradour crime owes nothing to chance. Prepared, premeditated, notably with the help of French collaborators, this mass murder was carried out on orders...
