I interview Koz Khosravani, an AI and Cybersecurity lecturer at the University of California and local sailor. We meet up for an interview at a local SoCal marina. A couple of months ago Koz was sailing with friends when he spotted a pod of dolphins about 3 miles off the California coast (near Santa Monica). The dolphins directed his attention to what he thought was a human hand coming out of the water. Upon further inspection Koz found a naked woman who had been drifting in the water for 12 hours in the cold water. Koz orchestrated the rescue and the woman was saved.

Koz expressed to me that he feels very fortunate to have taken ASA sailing courses through the Blue Pacific Yachting school shortly before the rescue. https://www.bluepacificboating.com/
