NotreDame Reopening: Trump Says Zelensky Ready For A Ceasefire Deal After Meeting in Paris
France's Notre Dame Cathedral reopened its doors on December 7, five years after a devastating fire destroyed it. The Paris Archbishop ceremonially knocked three times on the restored cathedral's door to mark the occasion as crowds gathered along the River Seine. French President Emmanuel Macron expressed gratitude to first responders and donors. Dignitaries in attendance included U.S. Presidentelect Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, Britain’s Prince William, Italian PM Giorgia Meloni, and Elon Musk. Earlier, Trump, Macron, and Zelenskiy held talks at the Elysee Palace. After the meeting, Trump, in a social media post, called for an immediate ceasefire and negotiations to end Ukraine's war with Russia, citing unnecessary loss of life. He said President Zelenskiy is ready for a ceasefire deal.
