Here's Francisco Lindor's grand slam from Game 4 of the National League Division Series New York Mets v. Philadelphia Phillies at the Citi Field stadium, October 9, 2024. Lindor's historic blast enabled the Mets to defeat Philadelphia and advance to the National League Championship Series, where they'd face Los Angeles for the chance to compete in the World Series.

This is Francisco Lindor's complete atbat as seen from the Promenade Outfield seating category in the upper deck, all the way out in center field.

We begin our presentation with the last pitch thrown to the batter preceding Lindor, Francisco Alvarez. It's the bottom of the 6th inning, and there are none out. Philadelphia has a 10 lead but the bases are loaded. In the last pitch of a 5pitch atbat, Francisco Alvarez connects with an 87.4mph Jeff Hoffman slider, grounding into a force out (shortstop Trea Turner to catcher J.T. Realmuto). All the runners advance, but J.D. Martinez, running from 3B, is out at the plate for the first out of the inning.

At this point, Philadelphia decides to make a pitching change. Time for the "visiting pitching change" show with the lighting effects and the fans waving their phones, which you get to see from my vantage point in the outfield. Now pitching for Philadelphia: Carlos Estevez.

Now batting: Francisco Lindor. The pitch sequence is as follows:

1. Lindor looks at a 100.3mph fourseam fastball for ball one. The count is 10.
2. Lindor swings at a 100.1mph fourseam fastball for strike one. The count is 11.
3. Lindor looks at a 99.8mph fourseam fastball for ball two. The count is 21.
4. Lindor connects with a 99.4mph fourseam fastball for a grand slam to center field, his first home run of the postseason.
• Runner Starling Marte scores from 3B. The score is now tied Mets 1, Philadelphia 1.
• Runner Tyrone Taylor scores from 2B. The Mets now have the lead Mets 2, Philadelphia 1.
• Runner Francisco Alvarez scores from 1B. Mets 3, Philadelphia 1.
• Batter Francisco Lindor scores on the home run. Mets 4, Philadelphia 1.
(If you just want to see the grand slam, skip ahead to 4:32.)
