We have finally planted the last pineapple crown. It came from the fruit that we picked a couple of days ago. Similar to the pineapple suckers or pups, we allowed the crown to grow roots by placing it in a container of water. As always, dog Shirley was there to help. She’s always involved in what I am doing in the garden.

From one pineapple fruit which we bought over 2 years ago, we now have a pineapple patch. We are growing 5 new pineapple plants simultaneously. Hopefully they will all flower and bear a fruit each.

Shirley and Emma (not in the video) were the beloved dogs of my late sister Diane. When she passed on September 5, 2021 due to Covid, i took over in taking care of them. Emma, a Shih Tzu, was born in June 2015. Shirley, a mixed Shih Tzu was born in December 2019. Emma is the mother of Shirley.

Both dogs have been spayed and are fully vaccinated. They are also regularly dewormed and yearly they get vaccine booster, antirabies, and antiheart worm shots.
