This was so sweet to see the morning interaction between Gabby & Beau after she incubated the egg all night. She got up & called out to him he was close by & answered in joint chortles. Gabby went up the branch and called again and Beau flies in from the wallenda branch & sees his egg for the 1st time.

Beau touches the egg with his beak and rolls it Gabby is of course vocal. He ignores her and continues to roll the egg for a few minutes before finally anchoring his beak and shimming down on it to incubate! What a beautiful moment we witnessed. I included some gorgeous closeups of Beau incubating the egg.

Beau incubated the egg for about an hour got up for a break and we had a zoom on the egg! Gabby arrived back to take over. But Beau was out at the stick depot and he brought in three sticks! On the last one, Gabby gets up and Beau is able to take over incubation duties. Gabby flies to the LOP.

Beau begins his four hour shift on the egg. When he sees Gabby return to the nest tree he gets up and flies off. Gabby comes to the nest and we have closeups of her and the egg before she takes over incubation duties!

Beau has come into his destiny this season with the patience of Gabby who waited for him to mature and fulfill his role. What a blessing it is this season to watch them now share in incubation duties of their egg. We will look for egg #2 on Wednesday!

I would like to say a big thank you to all of the NEFL fans who continued to believe in Beau as I did from day one. We all saw something special in him and believed that in time, this union with Gabby would be fruitful. There were many people who disliked Beau & insulted him over the past couple of years. I hope that they will learn from this experience & now share in the joy of potential eaglets at this nest once again. What an honor & privilege it is to be able to watch the livestream and share in these special moments! You all rock!!
